Castaway Critters received a plea for help from another rescue group. They had a dog that came to them as a puppy and had been with them for a year and a half.

Daisy rarely got outside as she was difficult to walk on a leash and would run whenever she got the chance (who could blame her?). They felt that they had explored all the options that were available to them and wondered what we might be able to do.

She was transferred to our shelter. Daisy enjoyed our outdoor runs and was taken to obedience school. Our volunteers placed a high priority on finding her a new home. That day finally came! Daisy was adopted by a family who loves her and continues with her training. She has a large area to run in and gets to be inside to live the rest of her life with her forever family.

*Daisy came back to visit not too long ago. Everyone who saw her could not believe she was our Daisy. She was beautiful! She had gained weight, her coat was clean and shiny, and she was very well mannered. Most of all, she was loved and she knew it.
