My journey began when I was driven far into the woods, a car door opened, and I was pushed out. I watched as
the vehicle drove away and wondered "why". I was cold, scared, and began walking for miles before I found a
lady that was willing to feed and take care of me.
The lady did not want to, but because I was a male, she had to chain me to a tree. She did not want me mingling
among the female dogs (other strays she had taken in). The location of her home (far from the main highway)
had become a dumping site for unwanted dogs. She tried to provide for all of us but realized she needed help.
A phone call to Castaway-Critters Animal Rescue and food, shots, and surgery were provided to me and some of
the others. Within a three month period Castaway-Critters rescued eight puppies and three adult dogs from our
caretaker. She was so thankful because she wanted all of us to be in a safe and secure home.
Castaway-Critters dog shelter was full so I was chosen to be transported by another rescue group (drivers
located in Atlanta) to Connecticut. Please keep reading because the rest of my journey is fantastic.
I arrived in Connecticut very shy and afraid. Adoption day arrived and I WAS CHOSEN by a wonderful couple. They
thought I was very handsome, realized my fears, but felt a bond with me and thought I had a lot of potential. MY
LUCKY DAY!!!!
I have been exposed to so much. My family takes me for walks on the beach, picnics in the park, and to their
favorite coffee shop where I have made lots of friends. They call me their "special joy" and "superstar" because so many
people are drawn to me. Everyone loves my open smile and my one blue and one brown eye. I am always the center of
attention and I love it.
Hope you like my picture - I am very happy!.
Thanks to everyone that had a part in me finding my forever loving home.
